Who Should Attend
The learning is a natural progression from the Representative Selling course. It is designed for those with sales experience who are striving to become sales managers or for those who are new to the role.
Participants must meet one of the following:
- Have completed the MIT Certificate of Achievement in Representative Selling
- Can show a history of previous tertiary study at a similar or higher level
- Have worked for a minimum of two years in a sales representative role
- Be nominated by their employer.
Content
The programme covers all the basic activities of sales management as they would apply in a small to mid-size operation:

Certification
On successful completion of the course, participants will receive an MIT Certificate of Achievement in Sales Management.
If students successfully complete the MIT Certificate of Achievement in Representative Selling and the MIT Certificate of Achievement in Sales Management, and complete the course Fundamentals of Marketing from the New Zealand Diploma in Business, they will meet the requirements to gain the Sales and Marketing Institute of New Zealand (SMINZ) Diploma in Sales and Marketing Management.
